ACHA DII Commissioner, Mike Radakovich and ACHA DII Vice President, Paul Hebert announced today that the online application for the 2009-2010 ACHA DII Select Team in now open.  While the details for the trip have not been finalized, the 2009-2010 team is again expected to compete against teams from Switzerland, Austria and Germany as well as two new countries, Italy and France. 

This will be the second tour for the ACHA DII Select Team that last competed in Europe during the 2007-2008 season, going 5-0 with wins over EHC Frauenfeld (Switzerland) [6-4], SC Weinfelden (Switzerland) [2-1 OT], EHC Bregenzerwald (Austria) [4-3], EV Weiden (Germany) [15-0] and HC Kobra (Czech Republic) [6-3].

In addition to the outstanding hockey, the tour provides educational as well as cultural opportunities and helps spread good will on behalf of the ACHA to these countries and groups as well as showcasing our skill level to promote future visits.
